What is Post Modernism, art edition

Post modernism is a very, very broad topic. Even until this day, there are various debates about post modernism. Instead of focusing on those debates, philosophy and the rest, I'll be focusing on art in post modernism, also known as postmodern art.

What is postmodern art?

 Before we can talk about postmodern art, let's talk about modern art. Modern art is a mindset that artist believes the grant narratives of Western domination and progress, ideas of the right path in technological advancement and a radical and forward thinking approach.

After the war, new art movements like Dada, pop art and surrealism begin to dominate the world of arts. These movements are different but they do have some identical characteristic: ironical and playful treatment of a fragmented subject, the breakdown of high and low culture hierarchies, undermining of concepts of authenticity and originality, and an emphasis on image and spectacle.[1] This mindset is known as postmodern art.
