Mobile phones are very, very important devices nowadays. Almost every single person knows what is a mobile phone. Some even have 2 or 3 mobile phones with them all the time. So what does mobile phones provide us that we need it so much that we carry it all around?
Let's briefly talk about mobile phone's history. Mobile phones didn't appear during the Reformation era nor the Industrial Revolution era. The first mobile phone appeared in 1973 and the first commercially available mobile phone appeared in 1984. Since then, mobile phones have been steadily increase in terms of users.
During that time, people can finally get in contact with other people easily with mobile phones. But innovation doesn't stop there. Smartphones, which were conceptualized since the 1900s and stated to be widely adopted starting from the year 1999, have allowed humans to do work which typically requires a computer. With the launch of the third generation (3G), people can use the Internet with their mobile phones. This have allowed mobile phones, especially smartphones, to have more features than ever.
Now, with the innovation made into mobile phones especially smartphones, mobile phones are more than just a tool to communicate between each other. From finding you way with GPS to capturing beautiful everyday moments into photos and videos and uploading to social media, no doubt that nowadays we need mobile phones in our lives more than ever.
